Just a quick reminder that you can and should attend the 1st Annual Millie Jeffrey Dinner Honoring progressive activists who are making a difference here in Michigan. RSVP to Fran Brennan at (734) 330-5225. You can purchase a ticket, place an ad, etc. The dinner is this Sunday Jan 13th from 7 to 8:30. Dennis Kucinich is expected to speak at the reception preceeding the dinner from 6 to 7 pm.

Remember that next Tuesday, January 15th is the MI Primary Day. You're help is needed in stopping petitioners attempting to recall State Representaive Marie Donigan (one of our DFA endorsed candidates) and stopping the Right to Work State petitions. Call the OCDP for information at info@ocdp.org. There is a training planned this Saturday from 1:30 to 3 pm at the OCDP Headquarters in Royal Oak. Finally, MichUCAN.org kicked on their statewide ballot inititative on Tuesday January 8, 2008. They are seeking petition signatures to force the MI Legislature to develop a plan to provide affordable healthcare to all MI citizens. You can sign up to collect signatures or see more at www.Healthcareformichigan.org.
